Christine Windolf
Christine has submitted so many listings this week, that I have only just touched the tip of the iceberg. We photographed well over a hundred items over the weekend including loose beads, gifts and ready-to-wear items, so keep an eye on Christine’s galleries over the next few days as I struggle to upload the first seventy items!!
A taste of things to come …… Christine’s cheese platters are a great idea for Xmas gifts as well as wine bottle stoppers, bottle openers, magnifying glasses and pens…….yes, really, Christmas only about six weeks away!!
Christine’s galleries
Maria Dao
Maria never fails to come up with great designs and ideas, whether it is in her jewellery work or otherwise. Her latest listings introduce her gifts range and include beautiful bookmarks, wine glass markers and bag charms.
Maria’s Gift Gallery
Su Bishop
The influence of the unique environment in which Su lives clearly shows in her design work, from Ningaloo Reef to the Pilbara. Su’s latest submissions include some truly fabulous neckwear as well as bracelets and a couple of new bead sets. These pieces are totally unique so be quick to grab your favourite if you like it, the opportunity will not come again!

Jan Roebuck
A big welcome to Jan Roebuck, our newest Northcoast Beadmaker. Jan is a fledgling beadmaker and we are glad to offer her a place with Northcoast. As well as her beadmaking skills, Jan is also developing silversmithing skills to complement her glass work, all fitted in around a very busy life, despite the fact that she tells us she is retired!

Kimmy has been collecting perfume and scent bottles for many years and now is making her own! Oh dear…….which ones to keep…….which ones to sell?!? The perfume bottles listed this week are just the beginning as she is currently working on more very much inspired by her recent visit to Kangaroo Island and also by her own imagination. All bottles have hand-ground bases to make them sit flat and the stoppers have been ground in to create an air-tight seal. All bottles will be initialled making them highly collectible.
Below is a taste but to see more visit her
Lampworked Vessels and Perfume Bottle gallery>>
Penel Bigg and Brenda Coleman
Penel’s work is always fabulous but her latest submissions, which are the products of a collaboration between herself and Brenda Coleman are truly sensational. These ‘one of’ totally unique pieces of jewellery, featuring Penel’s beads are the sorts of things that would be destined to be family heirlooms! In addition, Penel has listed other jewellery of her own making.

Marife ‘Rifie’ Hogan
To describe Rifie’s beads as having character would be an understatement. These you have to see to believe ~ Rifie’s beads ARE characters, from spacemice with eyepatches to candy wibbit frogs! Rifie’s beads are, like Rifie, larger than life. Her latest passion is her Totem series, inspired by a bead challenge she recently participated in, Rifie has come up with bears, birds and koalas in totem form. The detail in these beads is awesome! Make sure you have a look at her entire gallery as I can just about guarantee you won’t see them again once they are sold, they are absolute collectors items.
To learn more about Rifie visit her artist page or visit her galleries>>
Sarah Murphy
Sarah’s recent additions to her gallery include her new range of ‘Boomerang Beads’! How very appropriate for an Aussie beadmaker. Needless to say, the latest submissions are as beautiful as ever adorned with geckos, redback spiders and jellyfish to name but a few. This particular series are in Sarah’s Unique Art Glass Focals category. Sarah has also listed new items in her Sculptural and Critters category…..but……
….don’t forget to check out the rest of Sarah’s work……….use the link at the left to fast track!

Teri Roberts
Teri has listed some fabulous fused pendants which you will find in her Fused Glass Pendants category as well as a couple of gorgeous pairs featuring dichroic glass and a glittering set again featuring dichroic. I’m sure you will agree that these beads would make a disco ball dull by comparison so a fitting title is her ‘disco queen’ series!
Use the link at the left to check out the rest of Teri’s galleries
Carolyn Martin
If you haven’t already done so, take a look at some of the stunning beads submitted by Carolyn Martin recently. Amongst her many achievements, Carolyn has been showcased at the 2006 and 2007 Sydney Bead and Gem Shows and was commissioned to create 100 Commemorative Beads for the 2007 Bead and Gem Shows held in five Australian capital cities.

Terri Smith
Terri’s beads are best described as ‘miniature’ and ‘detailed’….. she has a fascination with form, particularly in the case of her shell sculptural beads and also makes some fabulous floral focals. Terri also is hooked on chemistry and loves to play with some of the more recently released silver rich glass coming from the USA, so expect to find some reactive magic in many of Teri’s beads!
To learn more about Teri visit her artist page or to see more of Terri’s creations visit her galleries>>
Carolyn Martin
Fascinated by glass work, Carolyn chose to team her knowledge of jewellery design with the medium of glass in March 2005. Glass bead making allows Carolyn to visually express her interpretation of colours and textures to create individual and unique pieces of wearable art.

Gary Lisle
Major updates in Gary’s galleries this week with fifty plus items added to bead sets and focal beads.
Gary has also updated bead annealing kiln pricing and has been monitoring his kilns to see what amount of power they actually use…….Gary tells me that, according to his new metering device, it costs him about 10 cents per hour to run his kiln based on what he is paying per Kwh…..no wonder these purpose built kilns are so popular!

Bev Butler
Bev scared the hell out of me by entitling her email with new listings Seeing Red! However, it does look as if Bev has been seeing red – perhaps a need to associate with some hot colour in these cool windy days we seem to be experiencing on the East Coast of Oz!
Bev’s latest additions are red hot, no doubt about it!
More Sets>>
More Electroformed>>

Al Ussher
It has been a while since we have seen new listings from Al, but, already a skilled artisan in his field, Al continues to develop new products and ideas made even more unique by the fact that he is one of only a handful of Australian flameworkers working in borosilicate glass. His latest additions are stunning and I can assure you that, having seen his work first hand, these pieces will be all the more beautiful in reality. There is, no matter how good the images are, something that is just lost in the translation with borosilicate ………. another dimension, depths and flashes of surprise colours that are not apparent in photos.
All of Al’s work is now stamped with his initials authenticating it’s creator.
More lens and honeycomb pendants>>
More Al Ussher pendants>>

MDsigns
Two fabulous new necklace designs from Maria Dao this week featuring Bev Butler lampwork and priced so affordably you will not want to go past these pieces…..

Over in Exmouth, Western Australia, in very close proximity to Ningaloo Reef, home of the whale shark, (as well as many other tropical reef dwellers) Su continues to ‘rock out’ some fabulous beads. More updates to semi-precious stones and pearls
Some great new listings on semi-precious stones and pearls again this week. Over forty new items have been listed including some pretty amazing extra large agate with quartz inclusions and some fabulous pearls. My personal pick of the crop would be the carved flourite and jade flowers!
