BEAD MAKING COURSES AND TUITION

Kimmyg is now teaching glass beadmaking, lampworking (or flameworking, as it is otherwise known) classes by arrangement. For further details of all scheduled classes go to ‘Teaching’. Classes can be booked to suit your personal timetable and skill level.

In addition to basic courses at beginner, next step and intermediate levels, Kimmyg is also offering short courses to extend your skills in Murrini making, Twisties Stringer and Complex Canes, and Using Presses. Maximum class size will be three persons at the present time and classes are held at the Sunshine Coast Hot Glass Studio in Yandina, on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. Class fees include use of all equipment and glass.

Christine has submitted so many listings this week, that I have only just touched the tip of the iceberg. We photographed well over a hundred items over the weekend including loose beads, gifts and ready-to-wear items, so keep an eye on Christine’s galleries over the next few days as I struggle to upload the first seventy items!!

A taste of things to come …… Christine’s cheese platters are a great idea for Xmas gifts as well as wine bottle stoppers, bottle openers, magnifying glasses and pens…….yes, really, Christmas only about six weeks away!!

The influence of the unique environment in which Su lives clearly shows in her design work, from Ningaloo Reef to the Pilbara. A big welcome to Jan Roebuck, our newest Northcoast Beadmaker. Jan is a fledgling beadmaker and we are glad to offer her a place with Northcoast. As well as her beadmaking skills, Jan is also developing silversmithing skills to complement her glass work, all fitted in around a very busy life, despite the fact that she tells us she is retired!
