Funky bead basics – yeah baby!

Posted in Uncategorized at 7:47 pm by kim

I’m sure you’ll agree that the latest offerings in bead basics are very retro. The masked dot patterns are created by partially covering previous dot placements. The effect is very funky and quite striking on the black background! I’ve put them in the What’s New section so that they are easy to find but here’s an image to tempt you! I am still working on the opaque spacers, there are so many colours to work through and I generally make 8-12 minimum of each colour, so it does take a while. I hope to get them listed very soon though! I’ll be listing more pairs tomorrow so see you then!KGBasics070301

What’s New

Posted in Uncategorized at 6:35 am by kim

What’s New is a What’s New category in the shop, which will make it so much easier for you to find new listings when I notify you of updates. Just listed are eight new pairs which are now featuring in the NEW category! They are quite different as I’m playing with dots again…. and really enjoying the strong contrasts available on black backgrounds (all part of the next bead basics series experiments!) Anyway, I hope you enjoy the beads as much as I am enjoying making them.
Happy days 🙂 Kimmyg

As promised – a further update

Posted in Uncategorized at 7:34 pm by kim

As promised, I have now updated the focal bead gallery as well as the pairs and sets done this morning. Gee, some of you are quick off the mark with new listings! Its good to know that the notifications are worthwhile and I do appreciate your custom. Thank you! There are too many new listings today to provide imagelinks to all, so I’ll just provide a title link. If you want to just look on the gallery page, the focals appear around the 10-12th rows – its all to do with the references I use, but I think I will get the wonderful web man to give me a gallery page dedicated to new listings which will make it much easier to identify them all.

New listings today:
Pairs: KGPairs070205, KGPairs070206, KGPairs070207, KGPairs070210
Sets: KGSets070208, KGSets070210, KGSets070212
Focals: KGFocal070222, KGFocal070223, KGFocal070224, KGFocal070225, KGFocal070226, KGFocal070227, KGFocal070228, KGFocal070229, KGFocal070230, KGFocal070231, KGFocal070232, KGFocal070234

P.S. I’m sure you must think that I have forgotten about the basic beads, but I can assure you that I am continuing to work on these items – it just takes a little longer than I anticipated to work through all the colours!!! Should be listing more basics later this week! Of course, if I could dedicate all my time to making beads and ignore my children, that would help too!!!!

More dichroic pendants!

Robyn has been hard at it obviously. Newly listed four more of her fabulous hand-etched pendants and I really must stress that the images only capture one aspect of the ever-changing nature that is dichroic! Here are the images with direct links to the shop!

Unique, hand-etched pendants from Robyn Kirkman

Posted in Uncategorized at 7:13 pm by kim

Have a look at these fabulous pendants from Robyn Kirkman. The latest submissions are truly unique, each one individually hand-etched prior to fusing creating collectable pieces that are unlikely to be replicated. Robyn’s highly developed colour and design capabilities are ever more apparent in this new work in my opinion. Here are links for Pendant 1,2 and 3 and an imagelink for No.4.
Have a great weekend. 🙂 Kimmyg
