Have been working very hard to get all my silver findings etc., photographed and loaded too…vast majority of them are now up on the site: Beads, Bead Caps, Earhooks, Earstuds, Headpins (Ball End Wires – I make my own to get them longer!), Clasps, Chain, Wire…..I still have to get through other threading items and also the gold, gold-filled products but I am getting there! Here’s a quick link to the silver in the shop!

Life is busy!

So much for my weekly basis! I must admit to having been tempted to update the blog several times in the last week particularly as so much has been happening on the site (and off!). However, I figured that I’d do it when I had uploaded all the new things I had to load….trouble is, they keep coming!! So now I’ve realised that perhaps I should do an update now and then another one when the next lot is up!

Biggest news this month is the addition to Northcoast Beadmakers of Brigid Wilbury. You can find Brigid’s work in her gallery on the gallery page and learn more about Brigid in her artist profile. Brigid is a jewellery makers who works, amongst other things, with lampworked artisan glass beads and also with kiln fused dichroic pieces. Brigid has a holistic approach to life which also influences much of her jewellery, her choices and combination of natural stones and pearls in her work is inspired! Welcome Brigid!!

Gary Lisle has just sent me some more images, so once I get the light levels adjusted and the size modified, I’ll load them up – probably in the next day or two.

I have been making new beads in readiness for the Brisbane Bead and Gem Show which is on at the RNA showgrounds in Brisbane from 30th June to 2nd July – at this point in time, Robyn Kirkman, Gary Lisle, Brigid Wilbury and myself will all be there most of the time so we are looking forward to meeting any of our customers who make it to the show!
I have listed a number of new beads sets and focals in the last few days and there are more to come very shortly.

I also have been making a big effort to get all my sterling silver findings and stone chip photographed so that I can update the shop with currently available items. So again, I will be notifying the mailing list when that has been updated! Here’s a preview and a link to
All in all, between making beads, maintaining the site and running house and home, life has been as frantic as ever. All good though, at least I can never complain of boredom!

Adios amigos!! 🙂 Kimmyg
